Mother Worried: Discernment Needed

If you have read the posts the last couple of days, you know that the surgery went well and Jason continues to heal. However, he has had pain and literally unable to walk and talk at the same time. When we met with Doc Golarz after surgery he was saying "6 to 8 weeks" for recovery and that he needed Jason on Post so he could oversee his recovery after surgery.

Jason had wanted to go on leave in May and the second time Dow and Jason talked with Dr. G he said,"All goes well, I will let you go on June 1" so now we are moving Jason's okay date up.... I am thinking "Is Jason pressuring Doc G for his leave so he can be with Jodi while she is on spring/summer break?"

TODAY, Doc G comes in and says, "Well, I think you will be ready to go on leave in two weeks."
From 6 weeks, to 4 weeks to two weeks. I am very anxious. I would not want a hernia for Jason or other complication while he is on leave. I want Jason to be healed when he goes on convalescence leave so he can relax and enjoy life with Jodi. I can't figure out why the healing time is being cut. I will call Dr. Golarz tomorrow.

Please hold Jason's complete healing and the Doc's good discernment for Jason's health in your good thoughts and prayers.

Katy....Ask the Dr. about Jason flying so soon after his surgery.
The body has such an ability to heal but a trip could be very tiring. Will keep the Drs., you, and Jason in our prayers.

Thanks Dorothy,
Didn't know you were a RN. I always trust a good nurse!

Didn't know about the possible flying danger. The Doc hasn't called me back. They want Jason to move to Mologne today. They said I could "change the dressing" Lordy

Thanks and many blessings

Katy - You'll do well with dressing changes....after the first time, it's a piece of cake....just wear your gloves and be sterile. ha With such a short flight to Fla. Jason may not get too tired....sunny Fla. may do him good. I know you trust in the Lord, but as a mother you don't won't Jason to "rush things"! Blessing, Dorothy
